Sherya Ghoshal was born in a Bengali family in Durgapur, West Bengali. She is an Indian Classic singer. She shot to fame when she won the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contest on Zee Besides Hindi, she also sings in Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi and Tamil.
She has 4 National Film Awards, 5 Film fares and 4 IIFA Awards to her credit. In a very short period, she has emerged the leading playback singer in the Hindi Film Industry.
